Teaninich – 10 Year Old Watt Whisky (70cl, 56.1%)

This is a Teaninich single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 2015 and bottled by Watt Whisky at 10 years old and 56.1% ABV. The outturn was 282 bottles. The whisky was finished for 33 months in an Oloroso sherry hogshead. The finish adds dark fruit and caramelised flavours, while the malty, mineral character of Teaninich still comes through. In the tasting notes, strawberry and cherry sweetness is balanced by toasted cereal, chocolate, spice and oak. It has plenty of texture and a dry finish.
