Refill bourbon hogshead
This is a single cask Teaninich from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range, aged 12 years and bottled at 53% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was distilled in June 2009, matured in a refill bourbon hogshead and bottled in January 2022, with 333 bottles filled. Teaninich is a Highland distillery owned by Diageo, and single malt bottlings from it appear only occasionally. The nose combines nutty barley, fresh bread, toasted woodchips and lemon peel, with grassy hay and burnt caramel. The palate brings biscuity malt, smoky black tea, fruit cake spice and creamy fudge, with faint peat. The finish has candied fruits, clove, subtle peat smoke and ginger biscuits.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
