This is a 1999 Teaninich, 17 years old and bottled at cask strength as the Special Release 2017, in a 70cl bottle. It marks the distillery's 200th anniversary (1817 to 2017), and the packaging is marked to say so.
Teaninich stands close to the Cromarty Firth in the Highlands, and its malt is used in blends including Johnnie Walker and Vat 69. This whisky was distilled before the distillery's expansion in 2000, which is why Diageo calls it an older style of Teaninich.
