A Teaninich single malt distilled in 2013, nine years old and bottled at 57.6% ABV in a 35cl bottle.
In its final year the whisky was finished in a ruby port octave, a small cask that adds fruit and colour. The result is a light ruby red with warm golden tones.
The nose is full of dark forest fruit such as blackberry and cherry, with chocolate, caramel, plum and roasted nuts. On the palate there are ripe berries, juicy plum and a touch of mocha, with spicy oak, cinnamon and vanilla. The finish is long and smooth, with red berries, dry oak and dark chocolate.
