This Teaninich is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, released in the Rare Malts Selection. It was distilled in 1972 and matured in cask for 23 years before bottling. The nose has dried fruits, beeswax and old leather, with a light maritime note and aged oak spice. The palate is viscous, with honeyed malt, stewed apples and nuttiness, moving to dark chocolate and a whisper of peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with spice, fruit and oak.
