This is a Teaninich 40 Year Old, a Highland single malt distilled in 1973 and matured for forty years in a single sherry hogshead. Hunter Laing bottled it in October 2014 for the Old & Rare Platinum Selection, filling 229 bottles. Long maturation in rich sherry oak has given a full-bodied whisky built on Teaninich's Highland spirit.
