Teaninich 8 Year Old Special Release 2025 is a Scotch whisky from the Teaninich Distillery, near Alness in the Highlands. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60.3% abv and comes from a rye experiment begun in 2016.
The spirit was distilled from a mash of malted rye and barley in pot stills, then matured in ex-bourbon casks. The producer calls it a rebellious rye experiment.
Deep aromas of cinnamon and clove lead, alongside a spicy toffee sweetness.
