Tenjaku is a blended Japanese whisky in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Its name refers to the skylark, a bird known as a herald of spring, which also appears on the label.
It is blended from carefully selected unprocessed whiskies and natural spring water, and the brand is based in Yamanashi Prefecture at the foot of Mt. Fuji.
The nose is sweet, with pear and dried fruit and a faint smoky accent. The palate is rounded and mellow after a slightly edgy start, and the finish is long and slightly spicy, with a hint of white oak and a spreading sweetness.
