A red wine from Emilia-Romagna, made from Merlot grapes and produced organically by Terre Cevico. The grapes are dried before fermentation to concentrate sugars and aromas, then slowly fermented. Partial ageing in barriques adds vanilla and sweet spice notes. It is generous and enveloping on the palate, with balanced tannins and a long, persistent finish. Dark fruit, chocolate and a light tobacco note accompany rich meat dishes, game and aged cheeses.
