A 15 year old Highland single malt from Blair Athol, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company at 45.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle as part of its Label Editions collection.
The whisky was finished in a first-fill bourbon barrel, which adds soft vanilla and oak char to a core of malt loaf and bright citrus.
The nose combines honeyed orchard fruits and sweet biscuity malt with a touch of cider, oaken spice and delicate char. On the palate come malt loaf, marmalade, vanilla pods and summer grasses, with gentle spice beneath. The finish brings a hint of fresh ginger, vanilla honey and barley.
