The Busker Single Grain is an Irish single grain whiskey from Royal Oak Distillery in County Carlow. It is made from corn with malted and unmalted barley, distilled continuously and bottled at 44.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is matured and finished in American bourbon casks and in Marsala casks from Cantine Florio 1833 in Sicily, which add dried-fruit character to the caramel, vanilla and oak.
The nose is soft and sweet, with fudge, caramel, fresh vanilla and seasoned oak. The palate is light and rounded, with dried fruit, gentle spice and a hint of hay. The finish is long, dry and gently sweet, with vanilla, oak and caramel.
