This is a 29 year old Highland single malt from Tomatin, distilled in 1994 and released as part of The Chess Malt Collection. It is bottled at a cask strength of 54.9% ABV, without chill-filtration and without added colour.
The nose combines dried fruit, stewed apple, old oak, leather, vanilla and beeswax. The palate is full and creamy, with figs, honey, dark chocolate, baked orange peel and spiced oak, and the alcohol is well integrated. The finish is long and warming, with dry spice and a trace of sweet fruit.
