Napier is a Lowland single malt from The Clydeside Distillery, a recent Glasgow distillery on the banks of the River Clyde. It is named in honour of Robert Napier, the nineteenth-century marine engineer known as the father of Clyde shipbuilding. The whisky spent more than six years in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose offers honey, vanilla, ripe pear, apricot, citrus, raisins, white flowers and a little cinnamon. The palate is creamy, with caramelised apple, peach, candied orange, honey and nuts. The finish is medium to long, with ripe fruit, honey and spiced oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
