Stobcross is the first official single malt from The Clydeside Distillery, in Queen's Dock on the River Clyde in Glasgow. It is named after Stobcross, an old part of the city tied to its port and industry. It is made from 100% Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine, with a long fermentation. The whisky matures mainly in first-fill bourbon casks with a small share of sherry casks. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is floral and fresh, with vanilla, honey, tropical fruit, pear, apple and malt. Orchard fruit, vanilla, honey, malted barley and a touch of white pepper show on the palate, and the finish is medium, clean and gently spiced.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
