The Dalmore 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle. It spends its first 12 years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon.
The whisky is then divided in equal parts between three casks that held different sherries, Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem Oloroso, for a further three years. The three parts are afterwards brought together in a sherry butt standing upright.
The distillery describes a firm, intense nose of soft malt, orange, marmalade and spice, with a hint of Oloroso. The palate has concentrated citrus and a rich body, and the finish is full.
