The Dalmore – 18 Year Old (70cl)

An 18-year-old single malt from The Dalmore, in a 70cl bottle. It builds on the distillery's own style with bolder notes and a firm, robust character that comes from the longer maturation. The whisky spent its first 14 years in American white oak casks that previously held bourbon. It then moved to Matusalem oloroso sherry casks for a further four years, the sherry casks being supplied by the Gonzalez Byass bodega in Jerez. The nose offers vanilla, dark chocolate, orange and cinnamon. On the palate come dark chocolate, candied citrus, strong coffee, nutmeg and cloves, and the finish is citrus, oak and spice.
