The Dalmore 25 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky given a triple wood finish. It began in American white oak and was then divided between 25 year old Palomino Fino sherry barrels and first fill bourbon casks from 1980.
The two parts were married together in bourbon barrels, then moved for a final time into Tawny Port casks from Portugal.
The nose brings exotic fruit, marzipan, vanilla and fig cake. The palate has liquorice, orange peel and chocolate sweets, leading to a long finish of demerara sugar, gingerbread and maple syrup.
