The Dalmore Luminary No.3 is a 17 year old single malt bottled at 49.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. This 2025 Edition came from a collaboration between The Dalmore, V&A Dundee and the architect Ben Dobbin, and the announced production is 20,000 bottles.
The whisky matured in seven types of cask, among them American white oak, ex-bourbon, vintage Calvados, sherry, and red wine barriques from Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Tasting notes describe orchard fruit, Madagascan vanilla, cinnamon, rose, baked apple, butterscotch, dark chocolate, blood orange, tarte tatin and marzipan. The finish brings apricot, blackberry, brioche and liquorice.
