The English 16 Year Old Port Cask (Founders Private Cellar Release 3)

This is the third Founders Private Cellar release from The English Distillery, a 16 year old single malt matured in a Port cask. It follows the earlier Sherry Cask and Madeira Cask editions. The spirit was distilled in August 2007 and bottled in August 2023 from cask B1/0845, with 323 bottles produced. It is described as having juicy dark fruits, ginger biscuits and a little smoke, with a rich, oily texture and warming oak spice. The finish is elegant, balanced and long.
