The English Rum Cask Matured

The English Rum Cask Matured is a single malt from The English Distillery's Small Batch Series, released as a limited edition. It is matured in casks that previously held rum, which had itself spent more than a decade in those casks before the whisky went in. It is described as smooth and creamy, with a sweet, dessert-like character and a note of rum and raisin ice cream, alongside the distillery's malt profile and a light oak influence. On the palate, expect dried fruit, vanilla, toffee and warming spice.
