The English Smokey is a peated single malt made by The English Distillery, formerly The English Whisky Company, at St George's Distillery in Roudham, Norfolk. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is non-chill filtered and at natural colour. Savoury peat smoke meets vanilla sweetness, citrus and warming spice.
The nose is gently smoky, with vanilla, aniseed, ginger cake, white pepper and citrus zest. On the palate, light peat builds to richer smoke alongside ginger and tropical fruit, and the finish is long and spicy, with lingering peat smoke.
