A 1987 vintage from The Famous Grouse, made by Matthew Gloag & Son and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich and complex, with sultanas, figs, orange peel and ripe banana over a clean malt base, with fresh mint and a hint of smoke. The palate opens silky and creamy at medium body, with deep dried fruit shaped by sherry, balanced spice and nuts, and a thin layer of smoke. The finish is long and dry, with vanilla sweetness, toasted oak and a little warmth.
