The Glenlivet 18 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. Master Distiller Alan Winchester takes it through a mix of casks: first-fill and second-fill American oak, chosen for tropical fruitiness, and ex-sherry oak, chosen for spicy complexity.
Old gold to apricot in colour, it has a nose of rich fruit and toffee. The palate is balanced, with bursts of sweet orange, ripe citrus and winter spice, and the finish is long, with raisins and spice.
