The Glenrothes 14 Year Old Bourbon Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 45.7% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It matures only in first-fill American oak bourbon barrels, a departure from the sherry influence long associated with the distillery, which was founded in 1879 in Rothes.
The nose offers vanilla, honeycomb, pear, green apple and lemon zest. On the palate come vanilla custard, baked apple, citrus marmalade, mild ginger and butterscotch. The finish is medium to long, with honey, dried apricot, gentle oak and a touch of cinnamon.
