The Glenrothes – 1987 (70cl)

A 1987 Glenrothes in a 70cl bottle, from the Speyside distillery founded in 1879 beside the river that runs through the village of Rothes. The whisky was matured in American oak that held bourbon and in Spanish oak that held sherry. Each bottle of The Glenrothes carries both its distillation date and its bottling date. The nose is fruity with pronounced vanilla. On the palate come citrus and orange peel, leading to a long, rich and slightly sweet finish.
