This is the second edition of the 1988 vintage from The Glenrothes, a Speyside single malt bottled at 44.1% in a 70cl bottle.
It was produced from a combination of first fill American sherry seasoned hogsheads and refill sherry butts.
Gordon Motion, the Glenrothes Malt Master, describes it as blackcurrants, fruitcake, nutmeg and mixed peel. The whisky is full, honeyed, rich and creamy, with a lingering finish of fruit and spice.
