The Glover 4 Year Old Adelphi Selection Batch 5 (70cl, 54.7%)

The Glover is Adelphi's occasional blended malt, made from Japanese and Scottish single malts and named after Thomas Blake Glover, the Scottish businessman with a lifelong connection to Japan. This is the fifth batch, bottled in 2020 at four years old. It combines whisky from Adelphi's Ardnamurchan distillery in the Highlands with whisky from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery in Japan. Two first-fill bourbon casks from each distillery went into the blend, which gave 1008 bottles at a natural cask strength of 54.7%, without colouring or chill filtration.
