The Hakushu 12 Year Old 100th Anniversary Limited Edition (70cl, 43%)

The Hakushu 12 Year Old is a Japanese single malt bottled at 43% to mark the 100th anniversary of Suntory. It is a limited edition, inspired by the Japanese craft tradition of monozukuri. The bottle is in soft shades of green, which stand for the forest around the Hakushu distillery. The whisky pays tribute to Shinjiro Torii's dream of making a whisky blessed by Japanese nature and craftsmanship. The colour is golden. The nose is floral and fruity, with lemon, pear and a little oak. On the palate, fine citrus gives way to malt, pepper and sweet honey, and the finish is medium and slightly smoky.
