A 12 year old Japanese single malt from the Hakushu distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1973 in the Japanese Alps.
It is described as a fresh whisky with a light smokiness.
Basil, pine needles and green apple lead the nose, with mint and melon behind. Sweet pear, mint and a hint of kiwi follow on the palate, over a gently smoky undertone. The finish is lingering, with green tea and a trace of smoke.
