The Hearach is a single malt from Harris, in a 70cl bottle at 46% abv. It is a distillery bottling, matured in bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Fino sherry casks, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is fresh with menthol, aniseed and herbs, alongside sweet malt, marzipan, apples, peach and a light touch of smoke. The palate is full and round, with baked apple, caramel, honey, some peat smoke and sea salt, plus meadow herbs and black pepper. The finish is medium in length, with maritime peat, salted nuts, sweet liquorice and toffee.
