Isle of Jura 18 Year Old is a single malt that sits at the top of the Jura core range, which was relaunched in mid-2018. It is bottled at 44% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux barrels, which add a rich fruitiness.
The nose brings cinnamon, dried berries, wine gums and hickory. On the palate come brandied cherries, Turkish delight, milky coffee and blackcurrant jam. The finish has chocolate chip cookies, a touch of hay and orange oil.
