Bal Masque is an English single malt from The Lakes Distillery, part of its Whiskymaker's Editions series. It is a limited release of 5388 bottles, bottled at 54% in a 70cl bottle, and it matured in French oak casks.
The nose is soft, with nutmeg, cinnamon, apple and pear. On the palate the flavours are complex and intense: vanilla cake, roasted almonds, walnuts, apple and plums. The finish leaves a warm glow of oak and freshly ground spices, balanced by a gentle touch of fruit.
