The Lakes – Whiskymaker's Editions Resfeber (70cl, 46.6%)

Resfeber is a single malt from The Lakes Distillery, in England's Lake District National Park, and belongs to the Whiskymaker's Editions series of special releases. It is bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in sherry casks and red wine casks, a departure from the sherry-led house style of The Lakes. The nose is vibrant, with ripe green apples, stewed plums, raisins soaked in brandy, dates and spice. The palate brings ripe dark fruit, figs, dates, black cherries and ripe apples, with toffee and more spice. The finish runs medium to long, with creamy sherry, more toffee, red berries and cherries.
