The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve No.5 is the fifth bottling in the Whiskymaker's Reserve range from The Lakes Distillery in England, in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in Oloroso, PX and red wine casks, using French and Spanish oak. Taking its cue from the cellar masters of Cognac, the whisky rests in casks that are left unsealed.
The distillery was founded in 2011 in the Lake District National Park, on the banks of the River Derwent, in a carefully restored farm that is 160 years old. Its founder, Paul Currie, also co-founded the Isle of Arran distillery.
