The Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt from The Macallan distillery, founded in 1824 and one of the first Scottish distilleries to be legally licensed. It stands on a 390-acre estate near Craigellachie.
Macallan is the only Scotch distiller with a dedicated Master of Wood, reflecting the time it puts into sourcing and making casks.
The nose is dried fruit with aromatic butterscotch. The palate is creamy and honeyed, with thick-cut marmalade, cinnamon, warm pastries, vanilla and sultana.
