The Macallan 12 Year Old Triple Cask is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It matures in three types of cask: European oak ex-sherry, American oak ex-sherry and American oak ex-bourbon. It is chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The tasting notes describe a nose of vanilla, ripe melon and soft citrus, with a touch of ginger and subtle spiced oak. The palate is balanced and silky, with milk chocolate, creamy vanilla, dried fruit, candied citrus and gentle wood spice. The finish is medium to long and warm, with sweet oak and soft spice.
