The Macallan – Rare Cask Black (70cl)

The Macallan Rare Cask Black is a single malt from the Rare Cask series, which is built around a careful selection of oak casks. It matured in European and American oak, some of it given a sherry finish, and comes in a 70cl bottle. The colour is a deep amber, almost black. The nose offers dark fruit such as plums, figs and black cherries, with cinnamon, clove, toasted oak, dark chocolate and a touch of leather. The palate is rich and creamy, with dark fruit, nuts, cocoa and vanilla, and sherry sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with spice, nuts and bitter chocolate.
