The Matsui Mizunara Cask is a Japanese single malt made at the Kurayoshi Distillery in Tottori, in a 75cl bottle. The whisky is matured in Mizunara oak, and the water used comes from natural springs in the foothills of Mount Daisen.
Mizunara is a Japanese oak known for aromas of sandalwood, incense and a subtle sweetness.
On the nose there is sandalwood, honey, coconut and delicate floral spice. The palate brings soft vanilla, orchard fruit, toasted oak and gentle spice, and the long finish carries Mizunara spice with a light sweetness.
