The Red Comyn is a 12-year-old Scotch single malt in the Claxton's Core Range, bottled at 48% ABV. The name comes from John the Red Comyn, whose castle stood on the Dalswinton Estate in the 1700s.
The whisky was finished in Ruby port casks from Claxton's own supplier in Portugal, which gives it a red colour and fresh, lively summer fruit.
The nose is described as strawberries and cream, with peach skin, barley and sugar.
