This is a Bunnahabhain single malt distilled in 1989 and aged for more than 32 years in a single ex-Bourbon hogshead. It was bottled at 52.6% ABV as a Director's Special for The Single Malts of Scotland, and the cask yielded 228 bottles. The nose offers polished mahogany, Madagascan cocoa nibs and fresh orange zest. On the palate, orange zest combines with juicy Morello cherries and Florentine biscuit notes of hazelnut, candied cherry, honey and chocolate. The finish is long and silky, with chocolate in the form of a fruit-and-nut brownie.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
