The Singleton of Dufftown Paragon of Time No.2 is a 54 year old single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 41% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single oak butt that was hand-filled on 31 October 1966, and it is the oldest release The Singleton has made.
It is a rich, deep amber with a light body. The nose is winey, like a vintage solera wine, with maraschino cherry, wax polish, waxed cotton and hemp rope. The palate is delicate and drying, with Christmas pudding, clove-studded oranges and burnt raisins. The finish is long, warming and gently spicy.
