The Singleton of Glendullan 14 Year Old is part of the 2023 Diageo Special Release series, known as The Silken Gown. It is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 55% ABV.
The whisky was finished in Chardonnay de Bourgogne French oak casks. It is said to recall the aroma of a freshly baked apple tart.
The colour is deep gold. The nose is soft and rich, with yellow fruit, brioche and apple pie, alongside green apple, white grapes, a touch of pear and puff pastry. The palate has fresh fruit, aromatic spices, buttery pastry and nutmeg, medium in weight and toffee-sweet at first, balanced by a splash of golden fruit acidity and light spice. The finish is lively, fruity and spicy, of medium length and smooth.
