Type
Blended Whisky
This is a blended Scotch whisky, The Society's Special Highland Blend, produced in the 1960s. It dates from before The Wine Society had to change the name of the blend, because it was not made entirely from Highland whiskies. Its colour is very light, like a golden Sauternes. The nose is light, with lemon zest, grass, peat and saltwater spray, and wisps of smoke that are never overpowering. The palate is lightly savoury, with peat and hints of rosewater. It is neither sweet nor rich, and the flavours are clean. The finish brings gooseberries and a burst of flowers at the very end.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
