The Speyside Distillery 8 Year Old 2014 is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside Distillery near Kingussie. Production there began in 1990, and the distillery has been owned by Harvey's of Edinburgh since 2012. It uses soft water from the River Tromie.
The colour is light gold. The nose is sweet and zesty, with lemon curd, honeysuckle, buttered shortbread, soft caramel and vanilla pod. On the palate come custard creams, white chocolate with hazelnuts, honeyed fig and vanilla tablet. The finish is medium, with gentle spice, creamy oak, biscuity malt, orchard fruits and milky tea.
