This is a single-cask Croftengea, the peated Highland malt distilled at Loch Lomond Distillery in March 2007 and bottled in October 2025 by independent bottler The Whisky Jury. It was matured for 18 years in a refill hogshead and bottled at 49.2% ABV, with 277 bottles produced. The peated character comes with orchard fruit, gentle woodsmoke and creamy malt. The nose offers yellow apple, ripe peach and pear with lemon zest and soft vanilla, over gentle woodsmoke and ash. The palate is creamy and juicy, with peach, apricot and stewed apple, then bonfire smoke, charcoal, a touch of coastal salt and pepper. The finish is long and smoky, with lightly drying oak, vanilla and honey.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
