The Whistler 10 Years is an Irish single malt matured for ten years in oak and not chill filtered. It spent time first in ex-bourbon casks, then two years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
It is a project of the Cooney family, who converted a former car showroom in County Meath into Boann Distillery.
Tasting notes describe a honeyed nose with vanilla and orchard fruit such as ripe pears and green apples. The palate is soft, with green orchard fruit and a hint of vanilla, and the finish is mild and medium in length, with sweet toffee and cool apple.
