The Whistler Triple Oak

This is a small batch Irish blend of high malt and pot still whiskey from the Cooney family's Boann Distillery in County Meath. It combines single pot still, single malt and single grain whiskey. It was matured in three types of cask: bourbon, Oloroso sherry and PX sherry. Half of the blend is single grain from bourbon casks. The whiskey is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured. The nose has toffee, caramel and oak spice with raisins and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with toasted oak, caramel, dried fruit and warming spices.
