The Yamazaki Mizunara Cask 2017 Edition 18 Year Old (70cl)

The Yamazaki Mizunara Cask 2017 Edition is an 18-year-old Japanese whisky from the Yamazaki distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition matured in Mizunara oak casks. Yamazaki was built in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii and is Japan's oldest malt whisky distillery. For this edition, Suntory's fourth Chief Blender, Shinji Fukuyo, tasted a few hundred Mizunara whiskies and chose from a range of ages, starting at 18 years old. A very small portion of them have matured for more than 50 years.
