The Yamazaki Peated Malt Spanish Oak (70cl, 43%)

This is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery, matured in Spanish oak casks and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the limited Kogei Collection and was created in collaboration with Chiso, a kimono maker founded in 1555. The packaging carries a kimono-inspired design of three rivers flowing together, with gold accents. The nose offers gentle smoke, rich floral notes, bitter orange marmalade and dark chocolate. On the palate, smoke, sweet vanilla and dark chocolate sit with a light citrus note, leading to a long finish of smoke and sweetness.
