Thomas H Handy Sazerac Rye Antique Collection 2022 Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 65.5%)

This is the 2022 release of Thomas H Handy Sazerac Straight Rye, part of the Antique Collection. It was distilled in the spring of 2016 and aged in warehouses I, L and M. It is bottled at 65.5% (130.9 proof) in a 75cl bottle, the highest proof for this whiskey since 2012. It is named after the New Orleans bartender who first used rye whiskey in the Sazerac Cocktail, and it is uncut and unfiltered. The nose is floral, with anise, marmalade and meringue. The palate brings baking spice, orange peel and subtle dark chocolate, and the finish is long, with cinnamon, praline and candied orange.
